Shipfix vessel data now powered by Veson Vessels Data

Starting October 19, 2026, vessel particulars in Shipfix are powered by Veson Vessels Data, the Veson group’s own vessel reference dataset.

🚀 Better vessel data, built on Veson’s strengths

Veson Vessels Data combines the best of the Veson group into a single dataset

  • VesselsValue expertise on ship types, lifecycle dates, DWT, flags, ownership and capacities
  • Q88 validated questionnaire data, trusted across the industry (wet industry only at the moment)
  • Shipfix’s email flow, which keeps particulars fresh with real-world vessel details circulating in recent market emails

Rather than relying on a single provider, data from these sources is aggregated and reconciled through smart consistency and validation rules, so the most reliable value surfaces for each field.

✨ Consistent data across Veson products

The same vessel data already powers Veson Platform and IMOS. Bringing it into Shipfix means you’ll see one consistent view of each vessel, wherever you work across Veson products.

The dataset is under continuous improvement: sources, rules and coverage are refined on an ongoing basis to keep raising data quality over time.

⚙️ What changes for you

No action is required: the switch happens automatically. You may notice some vessel values updated as a result. If anything looks off, or if you have any questions, please let us know through your Account Manager or our support team: your feedback directly helps us keep improving the dataset.
